Brislington Community Museum

Malcolm Spooner

Two Brislington postcards are known to be credited to this photographer, and both were published by the charity St Peter's Hospice which operates in and around Bristol. Both pictures feature the River Avon and although the photographer was on the far side of the river, the views incorporate significant parts of Brislington. Judging from the colours in the trees, they were taken in autumn, perhaps even on the same day, but as the production of the postcards is technically different, it's most likely they were published at significantly separate times.

In one of the postcards the photographer has the letters FRPS after his name, believed to stand for Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society.
