The United Methodist Church, now demolished, stood on Langton Road, on the corner between the railway bridge and Salisbury Road. In order to capture the whole facade of the building, the photographer had to set up his camera in the playground of the school opposite - the entrance arch has a small wall to set it safely aside from the activities within the school grounds.

The photograph was taken by William Albert Winchester. Visit our notes for more information about this photographer and postcard publisher, and their work in Brislington.
